The Journey of All-New WowOptin: From Limitations to Excellence!
From the very beginning, our mission was clear: to provide the easiest, most effective way for anyone to design stunning popups, banners, floating bars, and in-line forms.
Initially, we thought the best approach was to adopt a block-based system similar to WordPress’s Gutenberg editor. It seemed like a logical choice to us.
The Turning Point: Realizing We Could Do Better
As we developed and tested it, we quickly realized that the block system, while functional, didn’t fully align with our vision. It felt cumbersome and took too much time.
And worst of all, it didn’t align with one of our core promises: simplicity.
We aimed to make WowOptin the simplest, fastest, and most efficient optin tool. We wanted to address the unresolved issues and limitations that even OptinGiants couldn’t solve.
That’s when we knew: we could do better!
The Tough Decision: Pausing the Launch and Starting Over
This is where the journey truly began. We are about to launch our brand new plugin WowOptin. We had everything seemingly in place. But we realized we had to stop and rethink everything.
We sat down as a team and faced a hard truth: the existing foundation couldn’t deliver what we truly envisioned. It was one of the toughest decisions of our careers, but we chose to halt the launch and rebuild WowOptin from the ground up.
Rebuilding meant another 4 to 6 months of work and a significant financial investment. It was a risk, but we were determined to get it right, no matter what it took.
A Bold Vision: The Canva-Like Editor That Will Change the Game
After extensive research and testing, we decided to switch to a Canva-style editing experience. We were confident enough that the new approach would address many of our pain points and limitations of the industry.
It should allow users to create popups quickly, intuitively, and efficiently, just like designing on Canva. This should also provide the speed we had always envisioned. So, it was a must for us and we started working on it.
Overcoming Challenges: The Development Difficulties
Building this new editor from the ground up was not a small task for us.
Our developers had to scrap the previous code, while our UX designers started from the ground up to create a completely new and user-friendly interface. And don’t forget the content team, they had to reimagine how to communicate the changes with the community.
One of the painful tasks was scrapping our pre-made templates, as they were based on the block-based editor. We planned to redesign more templates from scratch once the new editor was in place.
I’m sure you can feel how frustrating this was for us. But our determination and teamwork kept us moving forward, no matter how daunting the task seemed.
The Power of Teamwork: Build Something Extraordinary
It wasn’t something we could accomplish alone. It was a team effort with every department coming together to make it happen.
Our CEO, Mr. Jakir Hasan, and CTO, Mr. Anik Biswas, led the charge alongside our talented squad of developers, UX designers, marketing experts, and support specialists.
We were dedicated to putting in the effort necessary to make it happen. That’s when extraordinary things happen!
The Results: A Passionate Rebuild
What do you think, was it risky for us? No question. Did we doubt ourselves at times? Absolutely. But we stayed determined. And deep down, we always believed we could make it happen.
Now, the all-new WowOptin is finally here. It’s everything we hoped for and more. The drag-and-drop editor runs smoothly, Templates are easy to customize, and you can create beautiful popups in no time.
